COURSE OBJECTIVES
• To build a network of Mediators in the UK and abroad.
• To develop and practice mediation skills which can be used in deradicalising,
mentoring and resolving grievances.
• To experience Scripture-based Dialogue sessions on Holy War,
Justice and Pluralism.
• To explore and correct misapprehensions about Quranic verses.
• To review the essential aspects of cultural and religious nuances in
disputes.
• To reflect upon the need to promote the concept of disagreeing well
between and within our diverse communities.
• To understand the processes and skills in mediation and mentoring.
• To achieve BIMA certification and CMC accreditation.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Anyone interested in mediating and/or mentoring in a
faith community or in the criminal justice system and who is strongly committed to
achieving the learning objectives listed above.
